Alert: VIP Go Availability Issues Resolved

This post is a follow-up to our previous alert about service availability, which has been resolved.

On Wednesday, May 30th, between 21:13 and 21:45 UTC, a small percentage of VIP Go traffic suffered from slower than normal load times and 503 errors in some cases. Our San Jose, Seattle, and Chicago data centers in the US were most heavily impacted. The root cause was a software bug that caused an out-of-memory condition on some servers. The issue is now resolved, and we will put additional safeguards in place to prevent this from happening again.
