We, Automattic, have a new service VaultPress in private beta for self-hosted WordPress sites.
We already have a tested, comprehensive backup and recovery strategy in place for WordPress.com VIP Hosting partners, but are in the loop and on the look out for any new insights that come out of our VaultPress offering.

Just a couple of doc updates this week, as we focused on moving your info to a custom WordPress based CRM.
- A new page Options & Cache best practices.
- A new tip reminding you to check paging if using a custom query outside of the loop.
- An addition to Themes best practices recommending the new WordPress 3.0 default theme, Twenty Ten (more on its features here) as a good theme to base your custom development on — please no more Kubrick 😉
