A new version of the Brightcove Video Connect WordPress Plugin has been committed to the shared plugins repository. This update includes multiple enhancements and bug fixes:
- Enhancement: Video Experience player.
- Enhancement: Video Experience playlists.
- Enhancement: Added filter to allow developer to specify an ingest profile.
- Enhancement: Added a mute option to mute video when shortcode is added.
- Fix: Resolves issue with WP dashboard being taken down when API is unresponsive.
- Fix: Adjustments to search behavior.
We encourage all VIPs using Brightcove Video Connect WordPress Plugin. On WordPress.com VIP platform, it can be done by specifying the version parameter of wpcom_vip_load_plugin() like so:
wpcom_vip_load_plugin( 'brightcove-video-connect', 'plugins', '1.5.0' );
For VIP Go, you can take advantage of the new version by adding the latest reviewed version (v.1.5.0) to your plugins folder. The plugin can be downloaded from the WordPress.org Plugins repository.
